Tulum Quintana roo

with Talia Leigh

“Don’t just dream about it. Do it.”

Talia Leigh does just that. She proves there are not limits in creativity. She exceeds her own expectations in everything she does. Wether it’s a new design, a showcase, publishing, or event, leave it to her to lead a unique vision. That is what drew me to her.

I had the opportunity to join Talia a few days in LA for fashion week before our photoshoot in Mexico. I played the assistant role, making sure this girl, almost 9 months pregnant, had everything in order. We splurged on good food, shopped for last minute accessories, enjoyed the company of old friends, and had a few last minute fit checks.

Attending fashion week was by far one of the most memorable experiences I think I will ever have. I had no idea what to expect walking into that building. I was raised in such a small town, with minimal diversity. To say the least, I was more than overwhelmed. I loved every second of it. The creative chaos was unmatched. The models were so kind, and had unparalleled personalities and backgrounds. What a girl would give to walk in their shoes just for a day.

We had a day to spare at a resort in Cancun to recoup before arriving in Tulum to meet our other collaborators. We shot for Vogue Magazine on the first day with Nick Saraceni, before Jamie Mansfield and her husband arrived. The next few days would consist of ample content creating, conversing and sharing our stories about our unique careers.

Turquoise and Company deserves special recognition for contributing on this project. We decided very last minute to incorporate authentic jewelry. This vendor went out of her way to fly in, and meet me at LAX with a full suitcase of product too finalize the looks.

These are the projects I hope for. What keeps me up at night.

I will always be grateful for my friendship with Talia. She has offered various opportunities, and opened so many doors by allowing me to pose in her garments.
